Well this is a really hard debate isn't it.
I mean this is pretty hard.
But in reality, what Vader are we talking about?
Which Vader are we talking about?
The one with no ability but a cool suit? Or the one with lots of ability but gets burnt to lava in the end?

If it was the one with the suit then I think that Darth Maul would win.

With the suit he has limited breathing capability and could barely move his joints. Darth Maul on the other hand is incredibly acrobatic and kind of a showoff I must say. But he is faster and more flexible than an old guy in a suit.

Also, Darth Maul has the better lightsaber. It not only looks cool, but probably gives his enemies seizures when he spins it around with the flashing lights, leading him to a killer blow. Darth Vader on the other hand has a crummy old lightsabre which is kinda hopeless compared to Darth Mauls.

Also, although Vader looks really really cool in his new emo suit, Maul kind of has the edge wiht his appearance. He kind of looks like he's been mutated by a ladybug but that's a different story. He can confuse his opponents making funny faces unlike Vader, who whenever he moves one of his face muscles it doesn't really show on the outside.

But if it was the original, Anakin Skywalker just turned evil before the lava Darth Vader, then I'd still have to give the edge to Maul.

Yes, Maul can defend himself against two experienced Jedi at a time, but, Vader can defend himself against Twenty unarmed Trainee Jedi with no experience at all who are watching all that they have cared for being burnt and destroyed. It takes skill to do what Vader did. Ya Right. Yes I guess Vader did kill most of the Jedi in the Temple, but he did so with the help of like Ten Thousand Stormtroopers with blaster rifles. I mean what a wuss Vader. If you want to be great at least face some Jedi by yourself. And when I say Jedi, I mean anyone other then Trainee Jedi but Jedi Masters.

Yes, he did kill Obi-Wan, who killed Maul, but Obi Defeated Vader when Vader was still in his prime. And when Vader did kill Obi, he was an old hermit who lived in sand for 25 years. That wouldn't be too hard.

And Vader did kill Mace Windu, kind of.
I mean he had to have help from an extremely old guy who is in politics.
That's pretty pathetic Vader.

Maul also looks like a badass who's ready to kill, unlike Vader who looks either emotionally scarred for life, or a robot in a black suit.

Therefore I think that Maul would win the fight, because he also killed Qui-Gon Jinn. Whose name I think I spelt wrong. But seriously, Darth Maul is the better one.
