Petals for the Roses ...

Is it really that painful and so hopeless in this world
Why are so many voices crying out to be heard?
We all feel pain in some disjointed emotional way
But even though you all read it
Why don't you stop this bleeding that's coming my way?

The darkness creeps in and swells over all of me
It gives me the freedom from the pain
That none of you can see

The only one who understands
The pain and anguish that cuts into me
Who knows that it must end
