Jaundice ( Yellow Fever ) it affects the liver. It affects the skin and it becomes yellow in color and is caused due to the excess increase in evel of bilirubin in the blood.

Jaundice or yellow fever that affects the biggest organ of our body , Liver has to be dalt with utmost care and medical attention. If not treated properly and early death can occur.

The cause of Yellow fever in a nut shell can be categorised in to three main ways. These include Pre - hepatic, Hepatic and Post - hepatic.

Hepatic Jaundice is even seen in new born. Pre - Hepatic jaundice is the cause of the excess deposit of bilirubin in the blood cells and these can lead to the malfunctioning of the Liver and hence the result is Jaundice.

Hepatic jaundice are seen in drunkards which cause chirossis of the Liver due to the consumption of alchohol. In this case the liver cells are damaged and malfunctioning of the Liver leading to yellow Fever.

Post - hepatic Jaundice is caused due to the obstruction of the bile in to the biliary system and it is tested and found out by checking the blood and urine for Bile Pigment Test.

The symptoms of yellow fever can be accompanied by pale motions and yellow coloured urine discharge.

It is beleived that in our days and even now pateients who suffer from jaundice have yellow eyes and see things of yellowish nature.

Jaundice has to ne treated with utmost medical attention if not it will end in disaster. It is very important to see to that a person affected with Jaundice should be able to feel the symptoms like fatigue, lack of appetite, Discoloration in urine, pale stools, high fever, and above feel feeling to see things slightly yellowish in nature.

There is an old test which my grnadmother used to do when I was affected with jaundice in the early 70's when I was just 10 years old. My grandmother used to take my urine overnight and put some cooked rice grains in it and keep it to be checked it the next day.In the morning of the next day if the rice grains turn yellow then her test result is that I am affected with jaundice.It is a fantastic technology and Kudos to my grandmother. When they took me to the hospital the doctor suggested to undergo a Bile Pigment test. The result was positive and my treatment process started and i got cured within a week.

Jaundice is a serious disease if not treated and diagnosed at the right time. It can be very fatal and end in death even. The treatment process is not of very big nature. It requires rest and in the hospital they give intra vein normal saline and glucose.
