A little girl is over there, crying in despair
She thinks her mother doesn't care, She says it's just not fair
Her Father, he is gone, His love for her is none
The flame of love is burning out, For her and her lifelong doubt
She cries! She cries! She cries!
These are the feelings in her heart, She's believed it from the start
All her life, she's felt alone, She blames her mother for being gone
Not just her mother is at fault, She cries for dreams she never caught
She's at a crossroad in her life, Pain in her heart cuts like a knife
She cries! She cries! She cries!
The child inside believes that all would have been well
If her mother had raised her and had not failed
Her duties as a mother she failed to uphold
For that her daughter suffers, inside she feels cold
She cries! She cries! She cries!
Her faith in her parents has long been gone
No one can convince her she really belongs
No one knows how she's suffered, for what her parents have done
The pain is real that she feels, The pain she's claimed as her own
She cries! She cries! She cries!
If her parents understood the pain that she feels
The sheer isolation, she can't escape it at will
They seem to believe she has control
Control is not hers, if they only could know
She cries! She cries! She cries!
If only they'd realize, and come to her now
Maybe she could find peace, Right now she doesn't know how
If they could see her pain, Would they hold her close
Maybe then she'd feel loved, Maybe not feel so lost
She cries! She cries! She cries!
