Owning the Perfect Luxury Home Doesn't Mean You Can't Be Green
Today's luxury homes seem to have it all. By that we mean, they look fabulous and grand, but behind the scenes, some may have more going on than meets the eye.
Modern technology has teamed up with high class and viola, the smart and eco-friendly home and the ultimate luxury home have become intertwined.
Home automation is the way to go for all your creature comforts, safety, energy-efficiency and definitely will increase your home's value. Current automation packages are so user-friendly that even young children can be taught and use certain features.
Imagine a premium home with a brain-like computer that seems to sense your every need and desire. It can easily coordinate all of your home systems and get them communicating to one another and in sync.
For instance, some friends drop in for a visit, a driveway sensor indicates that someone has drove in and alerts you inside and the front door lights go on. With the video surveillance system you can see who it is instantly. Want to let them in but have your hands full cooking in the kitchen? Home automation systems can even release a door strike to let your guests in with a touch of a button.
If you are tied up at the office, these new systems can be accessed via your pc, PDA or web-enabled cell phone. Easily you can do a visual check on your home, inside or out. Wondering if the kids are home yet from school? An email can be sent to your inbox when they arrive. Or warm up the house and turn the lights on before coming home. No more coming home to a dark and foreboding home again. This house seems to anticipate your needs.
Your smart home can easily be programmed to control your HVAC systems, lights and temperatures with high-tech sensors, detect motion inside the house and out, especially beneficial around a pool area. Also, state-of-the-art advances can keep you safe and sound with built in UL-listed security and fire/carbon dioxide systems and detectors. Different lighting sequences can be programmed for the entire day and evening, along with temperature controls throughout the entire house and in individual areas.Go on vacation and your house can take care of itself.
The new home automation systems can also entertain you. They can control home theater systems and show you in a corner on your TV screen any shot from your safety surveillance cameras, live streaming video. So, you can see from the camera set up in the nursery that the baby has not woken
