We all want to have that killer-eye look and we all secretly believe that if only our eyes can "talk", we would definitely look more attractive to others. Therefore, there are so many interesting products available in the commercial market to help us focus on beautifying our eye areas, like eye shadows, eye liners, mascaras and etc, and many of them are even water-proof and oil-proof. However, let's not forget to remove these products completely at night-time before our beauty sleep. Why? Because you would not want those chemicals to get into your eyes while you sleep or rubbing your eye unintentionally at night-time, which might cost the health of our eyes. I don't believe we would be very attractive when we have eye problems.
So, here comes the question on which eye makeup removers are the best in town. I have personally tried many of them and the followings are some of my recommendations (with my humble opinions and comments):
1. Kose Fasio Point Make-up Remover - A Japanese-branded eye makeup remover. It's of a gel texture, and it removes the waterproof makeup nicely. It doesn't irritate the delicate areas and it won't add burden even to those people with oilier eye areas.
2. Kanebo Kate Eye Makeup Remover - Another Japanese-branded eye makeup remover. It removes stubborn makeup very easily and thoroughly. It's not greasy even though it contains one layer of "oil" and it has absolutely amazing cleansing function.
3. Andrea Eye Q's Ultra Quick Eye Makeup Remover Pads - It removes waterproof mascara and eyeliner in one-go. Press the pad gently over my eye area for around 5 seconds and most of the waterproof stuff comes off already, then lightly massage the pad over the "stubborn" areas to get them completely off. The pads are fully soaked in oil and therefore, I would recommend this only to people with drier eye areas, otherwise it might be too rich. Remember to rinse off the excess oil with water or even with some cleanser if you think it's too oily for you. It's very convenient to use when traveling, too.
4. Red Earth Eye-Makeup Remover - It works great for people who wear light eye makeup. It's very gentle and therefore it doesn't irritate eye areas.
5. Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover - A star product in removing stubborn eye makeup in a blink.
6. Kiehl's Supremely Gentle Eye Make-up Remover - It's really gentle and it won't cause any irritation to the eye area. It's specially good for removing light eye makeup. It's a lotion-based texture and it's not greasy at all.
When shopping for your next eye makeup remover, remember to choose something gentle to your eye areas with good cleansing power. If you experience burning sensation to your eye areas during the usage or if it makes your eyes uncomfortable, discontinue the use immediately. Always remember that your eye areas are the most delicate areas and you have to handle them with care.
