I believe that television does have a place in our lives but when it comes to our children they spend way too much time in front of it. When parents need to keep their children busy they sit them in front of it and let the TV become a babysitter.
Children can become addicted to the television and little by little the kids have to watch this show or that show. My grandson spends way too much watching television and because of this he gets very little exercise. I believe television can contribute overweight children. They sit all day at school and then they come home and spend hours in front of the television.
I do believe television has a place in our lives. We get important news we not get otherwise. We have educational channels like Discovery Channel. We have the History channel which is important. I have received a lot of educational information. The Weather channel is really important for all of us when it comes to Hurricane information. I live in Fla and the Weather channel is locked in when we have a bad storm heading my way.I also love the Animal channel.
Television like a lot of other things needs to be used in moderation for children and for ourselves.
