Love Walks a Lonely Mile
Love walks a lonely mile,
Past flocking crowds, past laughter and smiles.
Into darker valleys of sorrow and pain,
Past favor and renown, into scorn and disdain.
Love walks an untraveled mile,
In its longing to bind up and reconcile.
Its intentions often misunderstood,
It goes into the depths for the higher good.
Love walks the longest mile,
Past those who forsake it as too hard a trial.
Beyond endurance, in patience it trods,
To acheive its desire, the will of God.
Love walks the forsaken mile,
Through darkened paths and wastelands, ravaged and defiled.
Without knowing the outcome or where the road will end,
Love continues onward seeking only to mend.
Love, the great searcher of those which it finds,
Forgotten, foraken and left behind,
With great longing we embrace Him, no longer forgotten but known,
Will walk the lonely mile, no longer alone.

I'm trying so hard to move on,
I'm trying to just forget
