Poetry: Drugs

by H Brown

"End it all"

evil darkness splits the minds
of the rightous and the selfless
and the kind
set dosage needed to paralyze their lives
fix all of them
break all of them
it's like a drug to me

Naked madness flickers in the eyes
of the cruel and the heartless
and bereft of pride
I'm everywhere
in everything
I'm like a drug to them

hotter than the hates of Hell
make you want to gouge your own eyes out
whirl around you like a sandstorm
blown hatred and stinging lament
the only revenge left is to end it all
end it all

senseless slaughter stokes the fires
of the battles and campaigns
of sick desires
kill everyone
destroy everything
it's like a drug to us

the world's most sacred alter
built to the gods of war and death
they see clearly now
we see clearly now
take the drug again

wicked laughter echos through the walls
from the research labs
to the mental wards
a perscription that settles your personal scores
everything depends
everyone depends
sell the drug to them
