Here's the thing. I have been a football fan my entire life and I have never seen anything as crazy as the 2007 season has been. Was anyone watching while the Lions beat the Cowboys on Sunday? The Lions? Are you kidding me?
Anyway, it has been said a million times, and we all know that the playoffs are a new season. A chance to vanquish the demons that have haunted you and make one giant stride toward perfection as you reach for the brass ring...or in this case the gold ring with some serious BLING.
So, here is my prediction: Although I love the Chicago Bears with every fiber of my being, we are just to weak at the QB position to make it past the first round of the playoffs. Rex Grossman is like the last Hostess cherry pie in the vending machine. He could be fresh...he could be foul...you just don't know what you are going to get. The New Orleans Saints will ride the tidal wave of the sentimental favorite the same way the Steelers did last year and they will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year.
On the AFC side, I do agree that the Indianapolis Colts will rise to the occasion. Payton Manning will go down in history as the best QB to every play the game, and this year's Super Bowl will be the beginning of the legend that will eclipse Joe Montana and John Elway. Just hide and watch if you don't believe me.
