Mature Love
I ponder it daily
In reverent awe
How our love has grown
Even with flaw
My heart still quickens
When you speak my name
Desire grows stronger
Yet remains the same
I have the simple answer
After all of these days
Why our love has matured
In each and every way
If I had been you
And you had been me
Our souls in reverse
To our bodily tree
The truth is clear
Very plain to see
You are the man
I would have wanted to be
