TEACHER'S ALPHABET
A is for Autumn.
A brand new school year.
B is for Books
Being glad that I'm here.
C is for Classroom
Where I like to be
The place that reflects
the teacher in me.
D is for Deadlines
Planning and teaching
E is for Eager
Minds that I'm reaching
F is for Finding
The heart of each one.
And giving them mine
When the school day is done.
G is for Great!
Each and every school day
H is for Helping
And leading the way.
I for Ideas
For making things fun
Not just for a few
But for every one.
J is for Just
A teacher must be
K is for kind,
I am sure you agree.
L is for Learning
All that they can
And making each student
a number one fan.
M is for Mind
A treasure, a gem.
N is for Never
Forgetting them.
O is for Open
My life and my heart
and dreading the day
When in June we will part.
P is for Pure
Their warmth and devotion
Q is for Quick
When the thinkings in motion.
R is for Ready
Each morning anew
Thinking of all
The neat things they can do.
S is for Seeing
Potential that's there
T is Tolerance,
And being fare.
U Understands
And lends them an ear
& for being there
When they shed a tear.
V is for Victory
And their success
W for Wisdom
And getting some rest.
X for wrong answers!
The "Y"s that we get.
And Z ?
- haven't thought of
a Zed word just yet!
