Absolutely NOT.......women first come in all shapes and sizes. The thing is this might I add; shape what is it? First off are we looking at the clothing it self or the women wearing them. Some women are just biologically under weight. For the most part that can not be helped, but then again it can look good to the Designer. Most teens and women of all ages want to see a real figure in a designer's layout no mater what it is. Everyone in Hollywood at one point said "THIN was IN"........that's Hollywood; I'm sure that doesn't speak for the Universe of women...RIGHT? We want to see those thin women on Calvin Klein, DKNY and Marc Jacobs's run way. However; we tend to not want to see that in the VS catalogs or runways. Heck....if you ask me most men make these decisions and and know what looks good on a woman.

I for one can not see a thin stick figure women in lingerie, but on the other hand you have our young pre teens looking up to a Britney Spears, etc. She's definitely not by far thin, but she along with several other so called 'role models' are throwing it around like it's hot. No... you can't descriminate now! So I say "let's not band the the under weight model , she might just have something to prove". If you can't deal with the fact that she's thin, then I do feel quite sorry for most of you. How do you know for sure that she's not eating right, or being balimick or for that matter an anorexic. We still need to see that clothes can look good on anyone, she too is that anyone. The runway was not just made for them, but they designer decides on who can walk and who can not. Most Designers are not making clothes for the everyday person. Who's going to wear Alexander McQueen's Finale piece, or Anna Sui's original; I certainly would not. We do have some very normal shaped models as you would say, but then again we still need that what...'hanger looking individual'. They are in some ways more easier on the eyes gliding down the runways like gazels on ice.

Let's be patient, as times are changing. The American people are changing our everything on television now is associated with fashion or fashion models to speak of. Now we just need to focus on beauty being in the eye of they beholder. Not just would probably be in another century or so,but who's counting. The underweight model has been making a statement for years now, after the shapely model was what the american women along with the European woman actually was. So should we ban her.......NO!, we should embrace the fact that at least they aren't showing so much it becomes embrassing. I say the less they have the better, and the more they have to show (most of them are half naked) the more we want to cover up. So what are we going to put on these runways if that time actually preceeds us?
