The importance of reading

by Jeanette Harris

Created on: July 11, 2008

There are many reason why people should read, One of the best reason is that reading is lots of fun,
you can learn a lot, and sometimes you can laugh about what you read. I like to see the day when everyone has a library card. Reading can give you something to think about. Also reading with your imagination could take you many places.

I think on of the best think someone could do is read article about a subject from many points of view,

the question should always keep in the back of the mind how dose this person know, Suppose the teacher wants you do research on what every subject, Wouldn't be better to get more then one opinion

Lets say everyone had write down what would dream job be, Now Tommy here wants to cop, Johnny here wants to be a firefighter, Bill here wants to be a cook, as they go library and read about there dreams job from different authors. Now I not saying you can learn everything from reading, Also learning about things give you a change how you might change things,

Did you know that your favor television, or that movie that you enjoyed seeing all started out with a writer, also knowledge is power. maybe you read about a doctor who found a cure for what ever
now book knowledge is a good thing. Now I really believe every class room should do one hour a week of community service and every other month should take a fun trip someplace

Lets say Mr. Peters decided to take his first grader to the A S P C A . They learn about animal how to take care of them. How to walk a dog. Maybe another class might take there kids to a nursing home, were they could talk to older people, how to make cookies set a table Then maybe the school could take the class to Grate Adventure, Disney world, Now you can write about your experience, here how the writing would take place, you write about what you did , what you saw, what heard, and maybe how you like change.

Reading also higher one 1Q not that one intelligence level by itself means anything, a long with common sense and willing to keep learning many doors will be open. Now I not saying one should think because of all the education I land the top but its a foot in the door..

Do you know what the government in China though was most dangerous was the college. Why when people feed the mind education opens up the door to freedom, starve the mind and we can kiss the freedom good by. Here are thing that will open up lots of doors.

Education with a willing to continue learn
Common sense
Able to get along with others,
good manners
being a team player another words do your share of the work.

We might have the right to do something but sometimes its better to back off.
