Avoiding "working from home" scams

Well, I have been on the Internet for about six years now. When I first got my computer and Internet access, I spent hours and hours searching for an honest way to make a living on the Internet. What I discovered after my countless hours of searching is that they are few and far between.

Being a novice Internet person, I was scammed by all these wonderful programs that sounded so good, that I just had to take the chance that they might earn me some income. They didn't. Now I have a strict motto that I follow: if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is, and NEVER invest more than you can afford to lose.

I have found a few sights lately that do look promising and some that have actually paid me to do some actual work. So, I now know that they are out there, but you really do have to sift through the garbage to find them.
