LANGUAGE BINDS US TO A NATION AND THAT IS WHY ONLY ENGLISH SHOULD BE SPOKEN IN OUR COUNTRY in our homes, schools, business, government, institutions, and in every aspect of our society. However, our students should learn as many other languages as possible since after all this is the 21st. CENTURY and we live in a global world. Anyone coming to our country to study or work must make it a top priority to learn ENGLISH.
IMMIGRATION TODAY IS A HOT ISSUE AND VERY COMPLEX but it has alway been. People do not leave their country and go to another for simple reasons so why should immigration be any different in our country, USA ?
AMERICA IS A COUNTRY OF IMMIGRANTS, unless of course one is a pure blood American Indian, and therefore OUR NATION IS THE WORLD. Many of the boys and girs playing in neighborhoods throughout our country, in schools (K-12), in universities, and wherever young people are: are grandchildren or great grandchildren of first generation immigrants. When immigration was possible to South America, Canada, United States, and other counties: many immigrated in search of work and a better life as well as a way to PUT THE WAR BEHIND THEM.
Some of these immigrants were from CENTRAL ITALY:ABRUZZI AND MOLISE REGIONS. For those who are familiar with that area, they know that there are many villages there and all as beautiful as a postcard, but not after the war. Each village was a bunch of rubble. Most of them are within an hour's drive from different directions of MONTECASSINO, THE CEMETERY OF SO MANY AMERICANS WHO GAVE THEIR LIFE.
