In today's face paced culture it is often hard to grab a bite to eat, none-the-less something that is healthy, nutritious and flavorful. The typical 9-5 has been redefined, with 9am moving to as early as 5am and 9pm moving to as late as 11pm, with little breaks in between. Whether you are a family man or woman racing to meet your deadline and racing to have family time, or an exhausted college student juggling class and work, or one of the men and women who work hard outdoors, it is important to fuel your body with healthy on the go snacks that gives your body the fuel it needs to continue to function at your high pace. Here are some tips for having healthy on the go snacks that wont intrude on your day.
Power bars are a great way to give your body the fuel you need in between the meals of your day and are compact enough the fit into your pocket, purse, or back pack. For those looking to make a healthy snack from something they already own can choose to package some almonds, trail mix, or other mixed nuts. These can all be packaged in small kitchen storage bags in advance or even picked up in packages at the grocery store or gas station when an unexpected delay arises in your day and you need that snack. Nuts will keep your metabolism going which will curb your hunger and give your body that boost of energy it needs.
