DON'T JUST SIT THERE

Time ticks by so slowly
for those who just watch and wait;
Minute by minute, second by second
as it gradually slips away.

Always dreaming and wishing for better things
these people often fail to see;
All the beautiful, meaningful things
that God gave to them absolutely free.

Before they have time to realize what's happening
the end hovers above their heads;
And they wish they had given up wishing
and lived each day to its' fullest instead.
