Poetry: Hell

The Trodden Plain of Raven

He ran away from crumbled homes far from the plain of Raven,
But he is in His womb, not, no, rather a smoky tyrant's haven.

He was as ugly as a slug, when every slugabed crawls in the mud:
A fish dropping beside a coral, a yeasty noxious crud.

He dies famous, and all should cower when that monster resurrects;
A King whom all condemn and everyone detests:

Because he is in His womb, not, no, rather a smoky tyrant's haven,
Perhaps he should not have turned his back
on the trodden plain of Raven.
