DARK SELF
My dark self walks behind me,
listens to the conversations I speak,
waiting for the moment to overcome,
pass overhead,
landing at a new angle, direction, or side.
The sun beats hard,
never more than a step to any direction,
to receive my first opinion,
about what has just happened,
with no response,
only a simple shake of the head.
At night it drifts off,
somewhere to sleep,
while I sit alone,
with no one to share life with
until the sun rises again
and he returns to my side.

Shadows of the night
Somewhere in a distant dream,
stood two shadows of the night.
At the edge of split perception,
being bathed
Absent light
Stains on a wall
Take human form
But twist, Distort
They move and dance
But have no life
Hollow imposters
Shadows in the Night
Shadows haunting in the night.
Playing games in the moonlight.
Keeping all the shapes I see
Deep within
As I gaze into the light of night
Shadows emerge upon my sight
Some bring thoughts of sheer delight
Some are scary in gruesome

Shadow Tag - A Childhood Memory
Whispers of footsteps cross my grassy path,
As I kneel in the shadows in the full moonlight.
