Kernel32 Errors is an error generated if any hardware or software is corrupted within the system. This error occurs mainly due to the following reasons:
Problems & Solutions:
1. Password file is corrupted: The error occurs only during accessing the Internet. While trying to access your Internet service provider, the error Kernel32 shows that there is a corrupted password file.
The solution for this problem is just go to Windows' Find utility and enter the following, without the quotes in the Named box: "*.pwl" and click on Find Now. When Find has identified the file, right-click on it and, from the pop-up menu, select Delete'. When you restart the system, a new password file will be created. To protect the password, you will have to re-enter each secret code.
2. A program and Windows differentiation:
The kernel32 error appears only when accessing one specific program, due to the reason that Windows and the program are allergic to each other.
The solution for this problem is check with the program's vendor. A suitable patch may be available. This problem occurs if you are running two similar programs at the same time for example two antivirus programs, Or both Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.
3. Viruses:
You need to run a virus scan. Some specific computer viruses cause kernel32.dll errors and damage to your computer.
4. Bad Memory:
Your system may have bad memory modules. The solution for this problem is if your computer does not automatically do a memory check on bootup, then go to Start/Run. In the Open box, type sysedit', then click on OK. A list of windows opens up with each one containing a file Windows uses to set up and control your PC, will open. Click on the window with config.sys in the title bar.
5. Running too many programs at the same time: You have to reduce the number of programs you have working at the same time, especially if they are the sort that occupies a lot of memory such as Photo-editing and home-publishing programs. You need to verify the status of your hard drive. If it displays 90% full then free up space until at least 10%. Adding Random Access Memory (RAM) modules also protects you from the error.
5. Internet Explorer 5.1 problems:
During the access of the Internet, if net is installed incorrectly or any shortcuts has been deleted or does not work, kernel32.dll messages starts popping up.
If you still have Kernel32 Errors, then post the details of your problem in the Focus on PC Support Forums.
