My Red Binder
My red binder is a sad bit of work
With pen marks and ink blots
And a stain from a stork
My red binder is ugly and beaten
Its hinges are weak and rusted
And its edges let cardboard go peekin
My red binder is filled with lots of things
Poems and stories and private thoughts
All of them hiding inner meanings
My red binder was read once
By the principle at my school
I transferred a day later feeling the worlds fool
My red binder is holy
Beyond that of even the grail
At least it is to me
My red binder rarely sees the light of day
For when it does I'm exposed and vulnerable
To what the morons have to say
My little red binder never leaves my side
It is like my heart to me
And without it I would die
My red binder is my sanctuary
From the turbulent world around and
None shall walk its hallowed halls 'cept me
My red binder is my library
With so many things locked inside
And when I am in it no one can get to me
My red binder is my life
For without its strong pillar
Id have fallen long ago
My red binder is my sword and shield
It protects me from there attacks
And lets me return it on my field
My red binder is the world where I belong
Its is all I truly claim to own
And no one can take it from me for long
My red binder is my soul
For I find peace in its pages
And give my body to its toll

SOUL
I am wandering, lost in a

My spirit is all that I am,
my essence, or is it my soul?
What thoughts produce me to be me?
Good, evil, which do I control?
Blackened and burned,
The hardened shell
Encases the tender sprout.
Darkness encroaches
Threateni ng the frail
Weakening wall.

Sometimes, my soul howls at the full moon
It perches at the peak of a craggy hilltop
And arches lustfully towards the
