The shadow of death is creeping,
Creeping closer step by step
I feel the hand, I feel the grasp,
The eternal darkness that waits,
What lies behind, what lies beyond,
The life and love we leave behind?
Will you come with me?
Will you stay with me?
Will you find me?
I am too afraid to walk alone.
This journey I can not complete.
Darling, what we have is what I love,
What I leave is what I need,
What lies beyond is what I fear,
But my deepest sorrow my dear,
Is the life that I leave behind.
Wait for me, always
Because I will be waiting for you
Deep in the life beyond the life I left behind.
