I feel your heart beating, but can't hear you breathe,
Gasping for air, I turn but can't see.
Where are you my angel? I know you are near,
I sense your warm presence, from the drop of my tear.
You wake me in the night, and you bring me to life,
But why must I waken, to a shadow in the night?
Your hunger is eating my soul to the depth,
You beckon me come thus our sickness can rest.
I pray for you softly I whisper your name.
Will you come to my rescue or pick at the flame?
I want to be with you, though between us a bind,
That holds us apart and teases our mind.
Though connected we are in soul and in heart,
Our bodies are melting from being apart.
I struggle each night at the thought of your name,
Yearning your presence like the leaves in the rain.
The memories keep agonizing, I fail to restrain,
My heart is sprawled open to the dangers of pain.
The fire burns softly nevertheless I must know,
Will you come to my rescue or let the flame grow?
Impatiently I wait, curled up in a ball,
Rocking back and forth, to anticipate the call
I hear the phone ring, and I jump to my feet,
With all of my strength, I let myself speak
"This darkness that follows is just here to tease,
Let's stop this cruel game and stand up from our knees.
We must take what we want; we can not fall apart,
My innocuous angel I surrender my heart."

We created fires that set to blaze
my glacial heart, broken so long ago,

Forgive me my love,
I never meant to hurt you,
From the times we shared,
Through the journey we had ventured,
