Listenlet me tell you a story
A story of horror and sorrow and joy
The story began when I was a boy
The caricatures in it are no one you'll know;
So I'll start it right now. Are you ready? Let's go
There's Bumpy and Butchy there brothers you see
On the outside there a couple of wonders to me
Then there's terry she's cool. Oh yea then there's Tom
I like tom cause"well I really don't like him" I like his mom
There's Mona and grace and Deanna and pat
Then there's dean he's a wonderI think that that's allyea that's that
It starts on a blustery, cold winter's day
When all of the grown ups werewell let's say away
We started to cry and to scream and to shout
We were crawling and jumping and running about
There was fire and smoke see the house was a flame
Someonewell one of us set it, while I, ah "he"... was playing a game
The first one to go was old Dean, he tripped;
At the top of the stairs and down them he flipped.
At the bottom he lay and we started to cry
A couple of breaths and right there he did die.
It all was a horror as all of my friends one by one;
Were choking and burning tillwell son of a gun;
I was all there was left I found the back door.
I remembered to lay low and crawl on the floor.
When I got to the back yard I turned and I stared
I stood there with sorrow but with out a care
Then I walked up to toms house and sat on his lawn
I heard all the sirens and stuff that went on
Till I herd nothing else till the sun it went out
I sat and I stared then I started to pout
Then came the grownups the questions and tears
Then came the knowledge that all of us fears
Then came funerals and wakes' and more questions from all
I had since a bad life, nothing much you could call
The tears from there parents and the guilt that was felt
As year after year at the tomb stones I've knelt
I lived a full life with fame and with wealth
And through all of it always thought to myself
How different it may have been if I could do it again
If I could put down in words the pain with a pen
Looking back I can see the sadist of all is that it was I
I Who caused all that sorrowI caused them to die
Then there's the dog and that fluffy old cat
I missed them the mostcan you figure out that
As I started this story I mentioned the "joy"
The joy of this story of when I was a boy
Let's see I'm not sure how without seeming a cad
Cause all that you've heard to this point is so sad
I'll finish by saying as I lay in my bed
It seems this storywellit was all in my head
I realized when I just wokeit was all me it would seem
I woke up with such joyit was all justa dream

Sinking deeper into my dreams.....
Sleep deprived and restless
My eyelids softly close
Blanketing me like a canopy over glistening
Worksong
As I work, half-dead to the call of bare feet in damp earth
or oiled fingers glancing over knotted calves

I saw Lincoln crying, last night, in deepest slumber
My heart ached for him, his tears, so many in number
And although he

Waking up is a silvery blur

Weary eyes are shuttered in a quiet repose,
Consumed by thoughts of the worlds beyond;
Soothing colors and dancing creatures
