People are taking less personal responsibility for themselves today?

The entire Social system is falling increasingly over the last five decades. There are reports of over 53% of the prison population being incarcerated due to commiting a violent crime. The second runner ups are the ones that commit drug trafficking and numerous other drug related offenses.

Youth offenders are increasing as well. There are hundreds on probation every year.

The problems are snowballing due to the lack of parental involvement or the lack of timely involvement. A lot of parents are aware that their children need to be corrected on behavior and poor decisions but choose not to. Either they feel they need to step back and 'let them make their mistakes' or they say 'they don't listen to me. Why do I want an arguement."

Once in a while there is the wayward parent that believes their child walks on water and can part the red sea with their smile. Its possible this can be true though never proven.
It is also possible that their child lives a double sided life in the hours of the abscence of adult supervision or involvement.

As parents, as tax payers, as citizens, we need to redefine our accepted morals and standards. There are too many people that are willing to accept excuses for poor behavior and in turn creating children that make and accept excuses that have more children that make and accept excuses. All we are breeding in the end is a gross lack of responsibility. If we would be able to redefine our morals or at reinforce them again to maintain the proper respect of public property, personal property, and penal law, we would have a drastically different environment than what we wallow in today. Everyone would love to believe the kind words of every stranger or valet man, however in the end you put yourself at risk. Risk, because as a society we now have people whom commit crimes and seem to deflect the blame on allegations of abuse decades before they commit a crime. So, as to bring up the reasoning for using the name 'valet' , it is acceptable now to some to say 'well, i posed as a fake valet to steal that guy's car because, i dont know. I have so much anger inside. I was abused as a kid...."

This is the part where the guy should put his arms up in a 'ta da' type motion for the song and dance part of the number. If your going to accept a line of sh*t, you might as well clap and enjoy it then, or spit it out. There are people every year that are in awful circumstances and are abused. There is no reason to let someone write it off as the master
