Oh, for an en-suite!
That route across the landing
I know far too well.
Nocturnal waking -
The curse of middle age strikes
At my weakest spot.
Stirring consciousness,
Bladder communicating
With reluctant brain.
Need for relief but
So easy to succumb to
Dream world's gravity.
