a new track for the album. According to members of Floyd, it was almost five years since he was in the presence of the band. He showed completely unannounced, and appeared sickly with pale skin and his hair was completely shaved off, as well as his eyebrows and other facial hair, comparable to the scene in Pink Floyd the Wall, where "Pink" emerges after reconstructing himself into an emotionless soldier. Still to this day both Roger and David play this track, and an image of Syd Barrett is the focal point behind the lyrics.

Wish You Were Here, could be one of thee most famous track gaining more airplay than any other song off the album. The soft soulful acoustic work and simple yet effective lyrics makes a strong but straight to the point expression about missing someone. The trademark riff, by guitarist David Gilmore was noted by Guitar magazine, as one of the most played riffs of all time.

All and all they are all just bricks in the wall, but Wish You Were Here could just be the foundation. It is the perfect blend of keyboard, special effects and guitar work. I highly recommend this album to anyone because it truly belongs in every musical collection. Just sit down, dim the lights and crank it up and you surely won't be disappointed. I promise!
