It must have been a bitter pill to take
Knowing it controlled you
Every swallow more lethal than the last
What a hell on earth to go through
What some consider reckless
You found as your release
Such a heartbreaking choice
That brings a man to peace
Desolate man
You do not know me anymore
How can you say you don't know me
When I've always known you
The blank stares of a man lost
What a hell on earth to go through
This sickness that kills you
Kills us all inside
Old man you're not so old
I can not sit here and watch you die
Desolate man
You do not know me anymore
I can not help but think of how
To keep from losing my way
The pain you no longer know
Haunts me every day
I continue to fight it
With these burning hands
I struggle to keep myself
From becoming a desolate man

God-less and Lost
God I seem to have lost you,
Somewhere along the way,
There was a time I felt connected,
Now I can't
She wanders, lost and reeling
In a place she once called home
She wonders why she's feeling
So unloved, so alone
She has a loving
"Broken and Lost"
Because sometimes
when the weather is just creeping right,
eyes stare without blink
inside old mind
Broken and lost with no where to turn
A victim of society, deceived by the norm
People all around me turn up their noses
