THE APPROACHING DARK CLOUD
The sun is bright,
the sky is clear,
the trees are swaying in the morning air,
the birds are chirping between the swaying branches,
and the sheep are grinding on the green plantings,
everything outside seems normal,
but theirs something lurking out there very awefull,
as day break nears the winds stop blowing and the birds stop chirping,
and a sense of fear fills the evenings' nearing,
as evening approaches a strong wind blows,
from the east, and scatters the leaves to the west,
and the wind blows the leaves in different directions,
taking along the birds' nest,
the day is getting dark and the sun is beginning to set,
and after a hard day at work everyone begins to rest,
but after lightning strikes and a big thunder claps the sky,
everyone wonders, "what's happening" as they look up very high,
"there is a dark cloud approaching", everyone says,
and the rain starts pouring down for many days,
Everyones' scared as the rain continues to pour,
and they don't know what to do,
what the dark cloud above has in store?
the rain stops and everyone gives thanks once more,
but know one realizes what the dark cloud is doing,
while the water dries slowly,
everyone realizes what they have done so tragically,
while outside on dry land,
their homes sank in because they've build them on sand,
"what are we to do now?", everyone says outside,
"we've also forgotten our little treasures inside".
