HIS SIDE OF THE BED
I fight the thoughts that enter my head
Thoughts of tomorrow are what I dread
He's packed his things and left for good
Rewind the mistakes, if only I could
I'll always remember the good times we had
I almost forget why he made me so mad
Fighting became our way of life
Our happiness could not survive
Ugly words became the norm
Intentionally causing harm
Time apart was a relief
No love given to receive
My heart is screaming fear
Cause loneliness is near
We've tried this ride time and time again
Now I've lost my really good friend
Sometimes I feel I've lost my mind
Life is running and I'm way behind
I hate the thoughts running through my head
Every time I look at his side of the bed

I have a wall you cannot see
Because it's deep inside of me
it blocks my heart on every side
And helps emotions
A Day Without An End
And the stars began to swirl
As they never had before
A gateway through a keyhole
A slowly creaking
Unopened mail
not a metaphor
You reached out and we touched.
We created fires that set to blaze
my glacial heart, broken so long ago,
