It's Meant to Be That Way!
There once was an elephant named Lou Lou,
Who thought that her nose was too big.
She said," I don't know what to do ."
So, she set out to talk to Jake, the pig.
She told him of her great misfortune,
Asked him, "How this all came to be"
He said, "Be careful for you weigh a ton,
But come close and let me see."
She cautiously stepped a little closer;
Which was what he had asked her to do.
When suddenly, she plowed the dirt like a dozer,
Falling on Jake, and squashing him, too.
He said, Will you please, get off me?"
"This is very uncomfortable, indeed."
Lou Lou sprang to her feet quickly,
Knowing fresh air, he must need.
She said, "I am so, very sorry."
"I did not mean to do that"
"Will you ever forgive me?"
"If you do, you can wear my hat."
Jake thought about it for a moment;
For he really wanted to stay mad.
Though, he was all out of shape bent;
He remembered the words of his dad.
Advise that was good as gold,
That worked every time.
Be kind to the young and old,
In his ears would chime.
So, trying to put on smile.
"That would be a good idea", he said.
"I'll wear it for a little while."
With that, Lou Lou placed it and his head.
With the hat now in place,
He remembered the subject at hand.
He turned to Lou Lou's face,
And decided to take a stand
This nose is very beautiful,
I really have to say.
I think it's rather wonderful,
That it's meant to be that way!
If this was really meant to be,
If what Jake said was true,
Lou Lou had no choice you see;
But to love her nose, too.
