Lisa listened to her friend as she twisted the phone cord around her finger.
Richard, her Mom's live in boyfriend surveyed the room from her doorway. Discovering they were alone, he darts to her, forcing a french kiss upon her. Revolted, Lisa pushes and twist away. She flees the room before he can launch another attack. He yells after her "Fine then, you can't talk on the phone. So hang up, now." Lisa hangs up and runs from the house. She ran as fast as she could into the nearby woods, hoping the trees would conceal her. Realizing he was not following her, the trama set in and she began shaking uncontrollably. Her thoughts raced, he's getting worse, things are getting worse. I HATE him. Why won't Mom get rid of him? I've been telling her for three years and she won't do anything. "Oh well let's talk to him about it," she says, then takes his side. Then things get worse because he knows that Mom doesn't care. Oh, I'm so alone.
Lisa remained in the cover of the woods until her older brother, Dan returned home. Knowing that Richard would do nothing in front of Dan, she proceeded home. She did not sleep well again that night due to the unwelcomed visitor. Since he fix her doorknob to no longer lock, he comes and goes at will. However, when Richard found out he told her Mom that it was improper for her to sleep in her brother's room. Her Mom agreed. Thus, thwarting her efforts.
Again Lisa found herself alone with Richard the following day. Lisa knew this to be no coincidence, however she could do nothing about it. He approached her with a smirk, "When you turn 14 I'm going to make love to you."
"No you're NOT," Lisa replied hotly..
His smirk turned into an evil smile, "Yes I am. Your Mom already said I could."
"I don't care what she says," Lisa yelled as she stomped from the house to her only safe haven. She reviewed his last words, He said Mom said he could. God, she probably did. But, I don't care. The only way he will have sex with me, is if he rapes me. It's only a week to my birthday, I have to figure out what to do. Lisa paced the ground hoping to generate some ideas. Running away popped into mind. It took root and Lisa decided it was the only thing left to do. She knew her Mom didn't care if she ran away or not.
Later that afternoon, she began pilfering food from the pantry. However, Dan saw her and followed her to her room. She had barely stashed
