The Sonnet
I find in rhyme sometimes you can go wrong.
The text can start to sound quite like a song,
With words that are emotional, like love'
Mixed with other nice clichs' like dove.'
Don't feel you have to use an exact rhyme.
Be creative, delve deeper in your mind.
You'll find the word that fits right into place,
To give your poem an uplifting pace.
It might help to dive into your brain,
Furrow around inside until insane,
Cause a sonnet's there just waiting to be freed-
Pick up a pen and let it take the lead.
And now you have to bring it to a close.
I hope I've shown you how a sonnet goes!
