a poem - remorse
I sat through the silence of the long empty night
Watched the clock, second hand passing by.
I wished I could go, get out and take flight
Looked out my window at the dark starry sky.
Filled with remorse, there was little to say.
Tangled and twisted in my sorrows, the pains
Flowing slowly. The joy of good times I'd lost, no more play.
Of my heart. Felt the coldness of blood through my veins
Bring some hope. Hide my sorrow don't skew
When morning does come with its brightness, its light
The next night. for now it will only renew
The fear and the loneness, comes with the night.
