"A Lament to My Burnt Out Stars"

I had three stars
But now they're gone
They disappeared during
The Rate-a-thon

I was riding high
Three stars for me
Where have they gone?
Where can they be?

Can things ever
Be the same
Not a single star
Beside my name

My loss of stars
Has made me numb
One day I'm smart
The next I'm dumb

I numbly, dumbly
Strike the keys
I wanted A's
They gave me D's

Raters must think
That I'm from Mars
They've stripped me of
My Writing stars

Pedestrian people
Are often car-less
I can relate
Now that I'm star-less

I drown my sorrow
In smoke filled bars
Oh, wherefore art my
Writing stars?
