Tips for surviving a cross-country road trip with your sanity intact

Traveling is one of the most exciting thing for any one and including me. I love to travel. I spend days and nights thinking about places that I can travel to. Unfortunately time is a constrain so when you do get to travel you want to make the best out of it.

Americans are busy individuals with many things on their to-do list and when they get to travel they also think about their to-do lists. Therefore, planning for a perfect time with no problems on the way is a must for some poeple.

Before you travel you have to do every thing that needs to be done and plan all of your delegations before you take off. Remember, once you're on that flight, there's no "oops I forgot to lock my door."

Many people have kids and pets to delegates. If you're lucky you have some people left over in your house to do these things for you. Some people are unlucky and they have no one to watch over their children or pets. For these people they have to find a baby-sitter and a pet sitter. There are services for pet sitters and also nanny.

If you're going to leave your kids at home you have to rovide a live-in nanny because an adult is required for any children under 18 years of age or else you can be arrested. Your pets can also be watch by the nanny or if you have a good neighbor.

You next have to take care of all the essentials with your house. You have to do everything you need before you take off to ensure safety. You need to lock your gates well and ask your neighbor to pick up your mail if you don't want someone to steal it.

Before you leave you have to pay all your bills so that you don't get late fees. You have to notified your family and relatives that you are leaving so they don't think you have been kidnapped and report to the police.

One easy thing is to have plenty of money and supplies for your trip. It is funny but I have people begging me for gas money because they have no money left after their day. Some people just don't think or don't plan.

You have to get to know the destination and its safety do's and don'ts. You have to carry a dictionary of translation in case you need it.

Most importantly when you travel cross-country you need to learn how to be safe because most other country are not safe at all. This is a fact because I'm from a foreign country.

You do need to bring extra supplies of daily essentials because other country don't have what we are accustomed to such as toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, shoes, sunscreens, medications, hats, lotions, anti-allergy and every thing that you really need.

Other country might have what you need but they'll be expensive because they know you need it.
