Everyone of us is really a mass of molecules. Our bodies are made up of millions of these, constantly changing as we grow old.Our body uses unique genetic code for each of us as a plan to put these molecules together to form a structure, the skeleton, muscles, and the organs. These molecules come from nutrients in the foods we have eaten, our body and the metabolism are responsible for the transition." Nutrition" is all about this transition. It is a science, the study of food, what our body does with it,and how it affects us in visible and invisible ways.

Nutrition to help repair, replenish and replace.

Did you know that many of our body parts are constantly replaced.Like our skin,it completely replaces itself about every seven years.Similarly the blood is constantly replaced almost every 120 days. How about that fat around the waist,it also gets replaced yearly.Even more amazing fact is, the entire surface of our digestive tract is replaced with new cells every three days.Different nutrients provide the raw materials and energy to let these processes take place. All these processes can occur only when we eat and eat proper.

In the same way nutrients help our body repair any damage that occurs from every day wear and tear, like the fats we consume from dairy products help our skin to heal the cuts ,scrapes and bruises and prevents excessive loss of blood and shields the body from intfections.Protein from the food helps our muscles stay strong and also bear resposibility to heal, repair and help regain their strength. As everybody knows the bones need calcium to stay healthy and offcourse it's the most needed nutrient to help heal broken bones. In the same way all the nutrients are needed for our body to help repair and replenish itself in one way or the other.

Nutrition to help keep going.

Our bodies are like complex machines, they need need energy to keep going and working efficiently.Food we eat is our fuel.Hunger is brains way to tell us we need to refuel. When we don't we obviously feel tired and stressed. But even if we don't heed to our bodies signals right away our bodies don't stop, why?.That's because of the nutrients, human body has ways to use the nutrient storage. If it has enough stored,it will have the energy and raw materials needed, but there is shortage of nutrients,it will not and can not function as well.Which will make you feel tired, crabby, and even sick. That's because digging deep into into storage areas is not easy for the body ,it takes lots of energy and complex
