were openly torturing and burning people at the stake in that era.
Nostradamus was said to scry the future by staring into a bowl of water and seeing visions, in part aided by ancient Hebrew Kabbalistic magic. Perhaps like most "psychic" divinatory tools, such as the Tarot, Runes, crystal ball and other methods, these methods are just "psychic conveyances" for the user's own natural psychic abilities to come out. For example, the subconscious mind already knows the future, by interacting with other quantum realities of time and space. and "sees" the cards relevant to the future, picking the right ones. With a bowl of water, it just gave Nostradamus the way to "project" visions of the future into it.
Skeptics have even gone as far as to say Nostradamus was more of a scientist and not a prophet. There may be some truth to the idea that he was a scientist, he was a doctor and was employing far more modern medical methods in an era where leeches were generally used to treat the sick, and horribly unsanitary conditions ran rampant, spreading disease and death through the land. Nostradamus, a trained doctor also foretold the future, making no doubts about it. He even foresaw the death of the French king in that era. There were no coincidences in his ability to see the future. He also foresaw the French Revolution, and the Gulf Wars, I and II.
Nostradamus also foresaw a future third world war, and the rise of the third Anti-Christ; Napoleon being the first Anti-Christ and Hitler the second. There is a strong predictive consistency to his quatrains, as well as many other prophets and seers from the extreme past to the present. It does seem that many psychics can 'plug' into a universal matrix or consciousness that holds the key to the future and past in its infinite labryinith of different quantum-realities, where the past and future simultaneously exist in countless different timelines and events.
The rapidly growing science of Quantum physics is starting to see an infinite probability of many other realities. With Nostradamus, his accuracy rate is beyond excellent. He seemed to have a great deal of natural ability, as well. Precognition, be a person Nostradamus or by an average person, is very much a reality. Just that some are more adept at it than others. Perhaps it's the more dormant and non-dormant areas of the human brain that some have developed (or they have more natural ability in). Whatever the case is, predicting the future is a definite reality, that is inherently in all of us. Abilities that are bubbling at the surface for many, coming out in huge geysers and eruptions for some.
