Do you look back at your high school years with a sweet fondness ? Ever dreamed of being the party queen ? the chief of a bunch that would be living adventurously ? Do you consider that school was not about grades but the dicovery of life ?
One yes, and this game is for you.

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble (will call it DHSGT from now) is a vintage board game taking place in 1920s Brigiton, USA.

To be blunt, I loved playing this game. It is original, funny, innovative, witty...Full of qualities.

First of all, the soundtrack. As soon as the music starts, you are transported into the game universe.
It's jazzy, delightfully retro and creates a perfect atmosphere, varying along encounters, from the peaceful to the excitement. A really good job was done on this point.

Then there is the adventure. In DHSGT, your party of girls aim is to investigate the city mysteries. You start by picking your queen, who'll be the leader.
Every girl has her strength and weaknesses among the 4 features: popularity, rebellion, glamour, savvy.
But don't worry, your girls skills are not frozen. They will evolve along their encounters throughout the game, win new items, like in any RPG.

For this, you'll have to interact with a wide range of characters, and win little games: taunting (each characters exchange humiliating pikes and sharp retorts in a death match), exposing (guessing sentences), fib (poker style bluffing game), flirting to get a boyfriend...
The exact life of a student girl.

Characters are nicely drawn, always with taste and style. Quite engaging.
The boards are great too, you'll visit 4 different ones: the school, downtown, city limits & Dells neighborhood
With Graphics and music combined, this game perfectly recreates the atmosphere of a small town at the beginning of the XXth century.

But the best point in this game is the fantastic gameplay. It's really easy to grasp the mechanic of the game. And you instantly start having fun. And not so common, both boys and girls will enjoy playing DHSGT.
A game like your favorite old cluedo. Sometimes, the simpler the better...

DHSGT is a great board/RPG game. You'll quickly become addicted. The story unveiling little by little will hook you and you'll hardly be able to leave our girls.
Apart if you are a macho man who refuses to play girlie bratty characters, whose pride withers at the idea of having to get a boyfriend, it's a lot of fun. Could be a worthy investment for 20 bucks. A nice present for your girlfriend.
