Where is God?

God Is Everywhere

To truly know where God is, one must know who God is. God is Spirit. God is love. God is omniscient. God is omnipresent. God is all-powerful. God is in every breath we breathe. God is in our thoughts and in our dreams. God is all understanding and all knowledge. God is everywhere at all times. He's in heaven. He is between the heaven and earth. He's beneath the earth. He is in the stars, planets, and galaxies. He's in the mountains, valleys, rivers, and oceans, because he created them all. God is in flowers, plants, birds...must I go on. God is in His creation, especially, the ones he created from the dust.

The Scriptures states, "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me, even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." (Psalm 139: 8-12 NIV).

King David realized that there was no place to hide from God. There's no place to hide from God, because God is everywhere. God knows that we are frail humans. He knows about all the sin and mistakes we make. Sometimes we may feel like we want to get under a rock and hide from God, but He's there too. There is no escaping God. He doesn't want us to feel like we have to run or hide from Him. God is a loving and forgiven God. So, no matter what we may have done, He sees, and He cares. Just be open and honest with him, He knows anyway.

Even in the darkness, God is there. Darkness can no longer exist in light. God is light. God turns our darkness into light. In the beginning God separated the light from the darkness. "And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening, and there was morningthe first day." (Genesis 1: 2 NIV).

Where is God, can be summed up in one word called, "everywhere." God is in light because He is light. God is in the dark, which He turns to light. God is in peace. God is in war. God is in our joy and sorrows. God is in our smiles and frowns. God is in our happiness and in our sadness. God is in our good days as well as our bad ones. God is in our failures and our success. God is in our triumph and in our defeats. God is where the rich are. God is where the poor are. God is with all races, all mankind. God is in our life as well as our death. To simply put it, God is Spirit and his Spirit is everywhere.
