arch can be decorated with delicate floral arrangements to set the scene.
Entryway arches.
To welcome guests at an outdoor reception or one which is held in marquees, arches can be decorated with colored ribbons that match the napkins or theme, and these can also be decorated with Helium filled balloons, giving the guests a clear indication of where they should go.
Division arches.
Here, in an outdoor setting, creating a dance floor for the guests, or an area of seating, the arches help define different areas, and can be joined by the used of staging to make these the entry points to the dance floor, dividing it off from other areas. Here, colors which are pretty can be used, and if the reception goes on until the evening, fairy lights can be used to brighten up the arches, or to be hung on the partitions which divide the arches from each other.
To make these more substantial, the wooden lattice arches give a stronger look, and the lattice work can be filled with greenery and the occasional bow to make them look stunning.
Beach wedding arches.
These are a great idea, and using plastic arches is good enough, as the plastic ones can be held in place safety and the stands hidden beneath the sand. These are simple to decorate with ribbons and flowers and can add a little bit of personalization to the beach environment. For the beach sports enthusiasts, why not personalize with surf boards.
Bridal throw arch.
When the ceremony is over, it is traditional for the bride to throw the bouquet, and this makes a super photo opportunity. Choosing a nice high up place means that people stay below in anticipation, and that the bride can see everyone. The arch defines the area and makes a super backdrop to the memory and a photo of the bride throwing that bouquet would make a great part of the photo. Using the same flowers as those in the bouquet, and binding them to the arch with a satin ribbon in the same color as the bridal gown really does look stunning.
Escape to the honeymoon arch.
This is the arch that is used for the couple to leave the reception and to go on to their honeymoon, waving goodbye to their guests. If transportation is used, the arch should lead to that car, and an ideal situation for the placement of this arch is the entrance to the garden. This can be lit by a spotlight, and the decoration be frivolous and fun. Guests can be encouraged to add little items in the way of jokes for the new couple, such as a rolling pin or little personal things that make the couple smile.
OTHER KINDS OF ARCHES.
Have you ever seen the joining of hands making an archway that friends create for a couple to walk through. Thought up in advance, this really is a supportive way of wishing the couple all the joy in the world, and can lead to the final arch as the couple leave for their honeymoon.
For the more formal wedding, an arch made of ceremonial swords is a tribute to those who serve in the armed forces, and well worth considering if the groom is indeed a military man.
The arch has its place in a wedding environment for sure, and forms a romantic liaison between those inside it, and those looking at them, defining that this is the couple's day, and that the arches that brought their lives together will long be remembered in photographs when the couple are old and gray and the path they have walked together longer and filled with other memories just as dear to them.
