Poetry: Broken & lost

by Debby Peebles

Created on: July 07, 2008

I am,
lost and broken off from,
the strands of life.
The hands of time have dropped me.

My mind is broken and has lost its handle.
My hinges have snapped and I swing,
to and fro and round the go merry.
Quite contrary, into the great, blue,
sky below me.

Where am I?
Spaced out and beyond the control tower.
Left out, floating in the vacuum cleaner
of life gone wrong.

Where did I get lost from?
Time in a bottle.
Spilt all over the table frontier;
where the West was won.
Where the West was lost.

I am broken.
I am lost.
Who am I?
