Have you ever had that yearning desire to go on a vacation? I just don't know any other way to describe it other than a heart felt urge to get away from the mundane drone of your everyday life. You know the feeling don't you? When each day seems to pass by so slowly and everything seems always exactly the same as the day before. I have that feeling often and frequently find myself staring out the window day dreaming of that perfect dream vacation. That vacation where my husband and I get time all to ourselves and money is simply not anything to worry about. Vacations can be such an immune system booster, an adrenaline rush, a way to relax and to get away from the stress of everyday life. They are a time to get served instead of serve and a time to veg out instead of feel the weight of the world on your shoulders.
My dream vacation is to hop a plane and to fly away to a secluded tropical destination. Picture this, beautiful crystal clear water, white sandy beaches, palm trees swaying in the wind, and a beach bungalow built out of beautiful dark wood with a thatched roof that sits on stilts on top of the tides coming in and out. You bungalow has a glass floor where you can see the clear blue water and the fish swimming beneath you. You have a back deck that overlooks miles and miles of sea. You can hear the waves crashing on the seashore as you relax on your deck or dangle your legs into the ocean below. Not far from the fabulous bungalow just up the beach plays the music of the tropics and a bar that serves seaside drinks with an ocean view. There is a live steel drum band at night and a dance floor that is live with laughing and people swaying to the music. As you look off into the sunset the colors are vivid and beautiful. It's breathtaking as you watch God's paintbrush blend together of the yellows, oranges, and reds blend together perfectly. You and your loved on relax arm and arm and enjoy the gentle rolling breeze. You bungalow is so quiet besides the gentle sounds of the ocean.
This is my dream vacation. To spend time in a gorgeous location, enjoying beautiful scenery with entertainment, and plenty of time to relax. Oh for the day to go on such a dream vacation. What a way to recharge for the weeks and months to come. And if it is ones dream vacation or not I believe that everyone deserves a vacation in order to relax and recharge. It should be on of the simple pleasures in everyones life.
