How God is worthy of worship

I have often thought of this question during my walk in life. I remember reading the passage in Luke 19:40,"And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." Whether men praise Christ or not he will, and shall, and must be praised. Paul was referring to the multitudes of deciples that began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen.

Look in Revelation 5:11-14. This is what John saw in Heaven. He saw many angels all around the throne along with the beast and elders praising God. He even tried to number them saying "the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands." The largest specific number the original language could express was 10,000, so John's total number (far more than 100 million!) was an overwhelming host. What these were saying, is that 'Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strenght, and honor, and glory, and blessing.' And they were saying it in a LOUD voice! Then John says that every creature which is in heaven, AND on the earth, AND under ther earth, AND such as are in the sea, AND all that are in them were saying, "Blessing, AND honor, AND glory, AND power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne (God), AND unto the Lamb (Jesus) forever and ever.'And then the four beasts said, Amen! In other words, Let it be so!

In describing this scene, John essentially extended an invitation to us to join in worship. Whenever we as redeemed human beings praise Christ and proclaim His worthiness and greatness, we join with the multitude of heavenly beings who constantly and flawlessly praise Him in heaven. As we worship now, we practice for eternity.

All through the Bible from Genisis to Revelation there is mention of worship. This is what Jesus says in the gospel of John. Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is looking for us to worship Him. AND, why should we not? Look at all He has done for us!

As I said at the beginning, I have thought about this for most of my life and concluded that I and my house will worship the Lord. I am thankful for the things God has done for me and for being with me through hard times as well as the good times. I praise Him for everything, big or small because on my own I can do nothing. Christ hold the future and I hold His hand. I will attend my church, where I can worship with like minded saved Christians and enjoy the fellowship that I find there. There is real strength and support to be found in your local church and I would encourage all to come together in your church and worship Him.
