The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will ride into the US economy and the rest of the world. All this has been brought on by the greed of investors, speculators, wall street banks and yes, our own government's failure to secure a major energy policy that should have been in place some 30 years ago.
Companies in the US are in survival mode now and have been for some time reluctant to provide living wages to their employees. Why? because the attitude toward employees has changed in the last quarter of a century from an employees based concern to one that is driven by profit. Now with the ever increasing cost of doing business every where business are forced to contract whether it being layoff's or shutting down divisions, etc. That is the worst thing that any employer can do in an economic climate that we have now.
The rising cost of fuel leads to the rising cost of living, the increase of personal debt, and a spiriling downward economic climate. This translates into a recession, gross inflation, and if nothing is not done we will be thrust into an era much worse than the 1930's. Yet! this is what is happening all aver the world. The United States must take the innittive in not only developing alternitive fuels but we must do it now. We have the technology that was around as far back as the late 1970's to manufactuer low cost automibles using non food sources in the alternative fuels. As for are other power needs we must put on line all the green fuels that are so abundent. The jobs that will be created will be a huge step in thawrting a major economic and enviromentatl disaster that will occur if we do not act now.
Fear is the greatest hinderence in over coming any obsticle. Yet what is happening now. Most of the policies of businesses is to sucome to fear and panic of what the rising cost of fuels is doing to their profit margin and are forced to constrict their growth when they should embrace the challange and expand to new endevors that will allow them to recruite new employees, retain current ones and provide living wages for all. In this way we can turn the tide from an economic and enviromrntal debacle to one of enterprising and growth orienented busineses that will secure our furture and prevent the United States from sinking into an abyess that we may not be able to get out of.
The United States government has been allowed to operate with total disreguared to the well fare of the majority of citizens. The lack of prudent fiscal and energy policies that are essential for the preservation of this country are the eminent threat of failed energy, fiscal, domestic, and international policies of this past decade. To save and restore our country it is imperitive that passage of National Economic Reform becomes our first and major priority.
