Poetry: Facing life

by Robert Cooper

Created on: July 06, 2008

Sittin here thinking,almost in a trance,
Would I do the things I've done,
If I had a second chance?
Some I have forgotten,
Others I can't forget,
Maybe the best things,
Just haven't happened yet.

I've had alot of good friends,
For some I truly cared,
For though we may have parted,
I missed the times we shared.
I've not done all I wanted to,
Sometimes I do regret,
Maybe the best things,
Just haven't happened yet.

It rarely made a difference,
As the years flew by,
I barely had the wisdom,
Or the time to try;
I know I'm so much older now,
And I just won't give in,
There is a way to happiness,
So tomorrow let's begin.

I'm bound and determined,
To get closer to the light;
I'm bound and determined,
To set this whole thing right.
