Finding paid work from home

Finding a reputable company offering work from home jobs is an exhausting job in itself. Believe me, I know-I've been working solely online for eleven years. I wanted to two of my favorite sites with you.

Constant Content
http://www.constant-content.com
The first site is Constant-Content.com. CC is a content marketplace. As a writer, you can upload an article on any topic, and then set your price. Publishers can then browse the marketplace, or search by keyword. After viewing a sample of the article, tutorial, or ebook, the publisher can purchase one-time or full rights, or make an offer. CC is free to join and the website takes their percentage only after the publisher has paid. This is a great way to write about what you like and get paid well for it, as publishers using the site range from large online directories to offline publications. Publishers also put in "requests for content" and writers who respond quickly by uploading relevant topics usually make the sale.

eWordSolutions.com
http://www.ewordsolutions.com
Here is a site that always seems to be missing from those long lists of "transcription services" companies you see online. I'm not sure why. eWordSolutions has been around for 20 years and they are top-notch company that seeks qualified transcriptionists. They specialize in financial, insurance, entertainment, health care, and legal transcription and you can apply by visiting their homepage.

oDesk
http://www.oDesk.com
If you have ever used sites like Guru or Elance, but were displeased with the membership costs and fees, you will absolutely love oDesk because there is no membership fee. On top of that, the site lists hourly or flat rate projects depending on the needs of the buyer.

I think every freelancer at one time or another has performed a job where an agreed upon payment never followed. oDesk offers a little protection against that. If you log into their site while working on client projects, they will take random screen shots and monitor keyboard activity, which the client can view. By using this system, called the oDesk Team, they will guarantee that you will be paid for work done for that particular client. I don't know of any other job board that makes such a claim.

Virtual assistants, graphic designers, programmers, writers, researchers, and more can find steady hourly employment at good rates at oDesk. Okay, so how does oDesk get paid (because they all get paid one way or another). When you bid on a project you will see an "oDesk fees" calculator. When you enter the hourly rate you plan to charge for that project, you'll see the oDesk fees that will be added (10%), and the total hourly rate that will be shown to the buyer. Ten percent is not bad considering there is no monthly fee, they have a fat project database, and there is a payment guarantee. Payment is done through oDesk on a weekly basis.

This is the closest thing to a "real job" I've ever seen online. Check it out.
