Humor: Caring for a unicorn

How does one care for a unicorn? Well. let's see first of all only the purest of hearts will ever have the opportunity to ever see a Unicorn; for a Unicorn is invisible to all others. The Unicorn is said to be a mythical creature.I on the other hand have had the greatest gift bestowed upon me when I did indeed meet a Unicorn one sun filled summers day as I was picking blueberries in the forest for mother's blueberry pie.

It was getting late and both my pails were filled to their brim of blueberries. I however was so busy searching for the berries I had completely gotten lost and did not keep track of the time as the sun was beginning to set and night was near. Yes, I was scared and all alone and only twelve at the time. As I sat on the forest floor to ponder what I should do did I see a large figure of what seemed like a horse and yet it had a type of horn protruding from its head? I waited to see what would happen as it drew closer and closer. The closer it came to me I could only watch in amazement as I saw for the first time in my life what appeared to be a Unicorn. It was a beautiful white horse like creature with a gold horn protruding from its head. It seemed well kept, well fed and seemed to be well cared for, as I searched with whom this Unicorn was there with. There was no one around, it seemed this Unicorn was wild and on its own.

As questions raced through my head, answers were coming just as quickly. Where were these answers coming from? Was I losing my mind? I then realized the Unicorn was communicating with me using mental telepathy. I asked if he had a name, the reply came back as "Lexar". Another question was who his keeper was? He answered with no one. I then asked, "Where did he come from?" He replied, " in the deep forest but he is always invisible unless someone is in trouble or one of pure heart is searching for an answer to a question then he has the power to become visible. This amazed me. It was getting darker but I couldn't stop communicating with this beautiful creature. I asked him, "What do you eat?" The reply was not in words but rather in actions as he motioned down to the blueberries I had just picked for mother's blueberry pie. I offered him a pail of blueberries, he gobbled them up quickly and then bowed his head as if to say thank you.

By now darkness was upon us and although I was so mesmerized by this Unicorn I really wanted to go home and I was becoming scared of the dark night. Once again as if he could read my thoughts
