Bars hold this frail frame
Purging tears from solid rocks
Not far beyond,
The yard of liars
Freedom taunts
What I sold
To be stone
A sly smile
antagonistic
a butterknife
fashioned into ambush
Trusting desperate,
broken men to stand cover
House broken to a bell

Poetry: Take me away
by Kris Vaassen
A Place Called Peace
If even for only one momet in time....
Please take me away...
to a land with peacefulness.
A place
Sitting by the window.
Looking at the sky as it turns
to darkness right before my eyes.
Can you imagine living a life of nothing
Take Me Away
Take me away to distant shores-
to ice castles and pretty moores.
Take me away to awesome views,
and sunsets and
Wherefore art thou Prince Charming
I'm finding it really alarming
I'm a fair maiden that I cannot deny
But I can't
Take me away to a place
Where there is no pain and sorrow
I want everyday to be as happy
As Tomorrow
Nothing bad or upsetting
Everything
